Janet Schlarbaum Announces Partnership with Juana Homeless Shelter to Provide Food Donations

Janet Schlarbaum will provide monthly donations of seasonal organic produce to help feed the homeless.

Janet Schlarbaum, founder of Jai Yes Foods, Ltd., a leading organic food distribution company, announced a new partnership with the Juana Homeless Shelter to provide monthly food donations to help feed the homeless. These donations will comprise of fresh, seasonal organic produce to provide maximum nutritional benefits.

A nutritional expert for over twenty-two years, Janet Schlarbaum founded Jai Yes Foods in 2000 with the goal of sourcing and distributing sustainable organic foods. Based on Janet Schlarbaum ’s extensive research, organic produce offers significantly higher levels of nutrients than conventional food and has the added benefits of being free from harmful chemicals such as harsh pesticides. Organic foods have a higher level of anti-oxidants as well, which can boost the immune system.

“We’re very happy to give back to the community,” reports Janet Schlarbaum, founder of Jai Yes Foods, Ltd. “Everyone has given us a warm reception and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share the benefits of our locally-grown, organic produce with people most in need of healthful meals.”

“During these trying economic times, we worry since our donations become less frequent, especially since we are one of the smaller shelters,” explains Alfredo Juana, Director of the Juana Homeless Shelter. “Janet Schlarbaum and her team at Jai Yes Foods have been exceedingly generous and we are very grateful to them.”

Janet Schlarbaum kicked off the partnership this month with a donation that included avocados, potatoes, spinach, cauliflower and several fruits and berries including blueberries and anti-oxidant rich pomegranates.

Home and Work Fireplace Safety Tips

    By Charles Kassotis

Most homes look and feel cozier when they have a fireplace, especially a workable one that the owners use on occasion. But even an attractive fixture of this type can be dangerous if it is not managed correctly or safely. If you have recently purchased a home that has a fireplace, find and read maintenance guidelines to make sure your fireplace continues to be a source of pleasure rather than pain.

When taking possession of your home, ask the previous owner about the condition of the fireplace. Find out whether it was used, and if so, how often. Inquire as to whether there were problems with the fireplace, and if the chimney ever needed or received any type of repairs. It also would be a good idea to ask if there had been any problems with a fire starting from the fireplace or if carbon monoxide levels were checked. Once you have this information, you will have a better idea of what needs to be done.

Get the chimney inspected. Even if the past owners confirmed that the fireplace was in good working order, an annual checkup is advisable to make sure the flue remains operational, and that creosote has not built up to dangerous levels. Besides, small animals like birds, squirrels, and bats can build nests in the chimney at any time, and severe weather can take an unexpected toll, so a yearly inspection is a good idea.

Learn how to start, maintain, and put out fireplace flames. Keep the necessary materials on hand, like kindling wood and a lighter. Do not burn just any kind of materials in the fireplace, as some, like aerosol containers, may explode while others may release toxic substances.

Keep the right equipment on hand. You will want to put up a screen to keep sparks from darting onto the floor or nearby furniture. A poker will let you stir the embers to check for embers. You will need a shovel and a small dustpan to remove ashes, as well as a bin for firewood. Don’t forget to keep a fire extinguisher on hand, and know how to use it. Teach family members what to do in case the flame should get out of control. Install a carbon monoxide detector and a smoke detector in the room to pick up early levels of problem fumes or smoke. Without the necessary items, you could run the risk of letting a fire spread into the room.

Never leave a fireplace flame unattended. Someone should stay in the room or be in and out frequently to monitor its burning. Otherwise, if a problem occurs, it could spread quickly without adequate supervision. Make sure the fire has burned out before leaving the house or going to bed. Don’t close the flue until the fire is completely out, or the house could fill with smoke or carbon monoxide.

    Mark Schlarbaum Profession

The Profession of Being a Teacher

    By Wasim Ahmad

A teacher refers to a person responsible in imparting lessons, guiding, instructing and training a person or group of students in a particular academic knowledge or skill. Being a teacher is a professional occupation usually employed in formal schools and institutions. Some colleges and universities require teachers who have professional qualification.

For informal learning such as for purpose of home tutor or for special skills, the teacher is called a tutor. This profession may also require credentials. There are also teachers for religious purposes which include lamas, rabbis, gurus and mullahs. Their roles are differing depending on the culture and country. Teachers have specific specializations. They could be more inclined towards academic subjects like math, science or language. Or they could be more into arts and crafts, vocational training or other specific subjects.

School teachers use lesson plans that they follow for a certain time frame, say a month or a whole year. These lesson plans must be in accordance with the school’s standard curriculum. Teachers use this as a guide to make sure that the students are able to learn the subject matter in an organized manner.

There are different methodologies in teaching. As a procedure, teachers will decide their methods of teaching based on the level of understanding of their student, the school environment and the available resources in the school.

Aside from teaching students in classroom environments, these mentors have other duties associated with the activities in the school. They are responsible in assisting their students during field trip, outreach programs and other outdoor activities. Teachers are also tasked to organize and manage extracurricular activities such as sports fest, festivals, school programs and seminars. It also involves imposing disciplinary measures for students when it is called for. It is in line with the belief that misbehaviors should not be tolerated.

Public and private schools are committed in nurturing the skills and knowledge of their school teachers. Educational institutions provide continuous training and development programs for teachers. They undergo series of trainings in order to update their knowledge and become efficient in teaching their students. They are also updated on the latest methods of teaching, if ever. In addition, the government established several institutions to provide certification and enforce specific standards for professional teachers. This aims to protect the interest of students and parents.

Sometimes, teachers are given the responsibility to purchase all the needed teacher supplies necessary for students and teachers. This is a challenging task which requires some decision making. When purchasing teacher supplies, you can have good ideas by visiting some of the teacher supply stores available near the area and ask information on the best supplies available.

Supplies do not only refer to items such as papers and pencils. Teachers and students need items to be decorated on the school’s bulletin board. Teachers need items wherein they can organize all their essentials for teaching. Materials for making visual aids are also an important purchase which includes colored paper, coloring pens, scissors, paste, glue and many other materials.

Job Interview Success - Enthusiasm is the Key to Your Perfect Job

    By Kristi Daeda

Job search in a tough job market can be grueling. Job seekers apply for position after position, talk to employer after employer, and are not hired. Is it any wonder that some candidates enter job interviews demoralized, tentative, or desperate?

As a job seeker you should take every possible opportunity to differentiate yourself from the competition. One way to do that: maintain your positive attitude and project enthusiasm in every interview. Your dedication, perseverance and energy level will be noted by your potential employer.

Here are five ways that you can display your enthusiasm for the position during the interview process:

    1. Be unfailingly prompt. There is absolutely no excuse for being late to a job interview. Some employers will be flexible or understanding of personal situations, but is that really how you want to start a potential business relationship?
    2. Know before you go. Have a good general perspective on the company, its needs, its challenges, and how you can contribute to its success. If you say you want to work for a company you know little about, you’ll come off as insincere.
    3. Be ready to interview. Prepare for potential interview questions, have your own questions ready, arrive with extra resumes and references. Make sure that you leave the impression that you took the meeting seriously enough to spend time anticipating their needs.
    4. Use an interview “close.” At the end of the interview, say: “Thank you for spending some time with me today discussing this position. I think I’d be a great fit for both the role and the organization and would love to join your team. Do you have any concerns about my candidacy?” This allows you to get an idea of potential objections, and opens an opportunity to overcome them. Then, if the feedback is entirely positive and you see no immediate obstacles, you can try this: “Well, is there anything in the way of you offering me the position today?” Bold move, yes, but it might just get you an offer on the spot.
    5. Follow up. Always write a thank you, be it a note or an email. And be sure to follow up with the interviewer if you don’t hear back from them. It will show them you’re truly invested in the process.

Composing Stress Management Training Curriculum For the Class

    By Kenneth Allen

You have to pay a great attention to stress management training among any other programs in your job, since it is truly significant to be learned. Stress management training comes to existence as the implementation of the belief that everybody can virtually get the advantage from the capability to control their stress. You can arrange the curriculum of comprehensive management of stress easily by covering some or all of them, no matter how long you will spend the time on each of these topics.

Recommending Time Management to a Class

The stress rank of a person can be significantly influenced by their time management. You can teach the class of management of stress to prioritize their everyday activities.

Glen Luckman Relieving the Physical Stress

In stress training, you can relieve your stress through lots of physical sensations. But, those are not suggested for a workplace, school, or church group seminar.

    Low-Stress Foods and Drinks

More about stress management training, you are recommended to eat the low-salt, alcohol-free vegan diet due to providing the nutrients needed for stress-free living and also decrease blood pressure and stroke risk. They typically do not consider diet tips as part of management of stress.

Alcohol-free beer and wine, fresh fruits, low-sodium breads and crackers will be the great foods for refreshments.

    Mind Games

In the stress management training course, you can include several practical coping techniques. Write down most worrying things and prepare the time to sit down and worry about it. So if you schedule your worry date properly, there will be a good chance to do that. If the breakdown is really happened, keep the appointment; otherwise, forget about it.

About Balance Life By Glen Luckman

How to Create a Work Life Balance

    By Donna Deming

If you feel your work and life are out of balance you are not alone. Many people struggle with creating a balance between spending extra hours at work and taking time to enjoy their home life. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself “how do I get my work and home life back in balance?”

What would you have to say “NO” to in order to create a balance? Do you need to say “NO” at work? “NO” to a friend? When you are no longer consciously choosing how to spend your time you are being driven by fear. What are you afraid of? Are you afraid you will not be a good friend if you say “NO?” Are you afraid you will not be looked upon as a devoted employee if you say “NO?” Are you not saying “NO” to turning off the television so you can set aside time to exercise, read, meditate or whatever it is you desire to do but have been unable to find time for?

As a life coach I have worked with individuals who do not see anyway out of this perspective. They begin life coaching feeling as though they don’t have the power of choice. They experience a blindness to even considering that there might be a different way. They say things to themselves such as “That’s just the way it is.” Yet inside they yearn for a work life balance. They feel they are missing out on life.

Having a work life balance means something different to each person. Balance is a personal issue.

    Where do you start?

Remember: you have the power to choose! Clearly identify your fears and see if there is another perspective you can take on the situation. Are you afraid you will get fired if you don’t work overtime every day? Why not speak to your manager and tell him you have to leave on time 2 days a week. Take a chance and see what happens. Can you organize your time better at work so you don’t work so much overtime? Do you hold back from delegating at work and end up overloading yourself? Make a list of actions you can take other than working overtime every day. Begin by making small changes.

    The Power of Underground Hypnosis

    By Steve Ericksson
    Posted by: RJ & Makay

Taking charge of your life has never been easier. It has taken much too long for the secrets of the power of conversational hypnosis to reach the masses but, this day has finally arrived. Conversational hypnosis is rooted in the philosophical methods of Milton Erickson renowned for his indirect approach to hypnotism.

It is this element of covertness that transforms the traditional art of hypnosis into something that you can use anytime, anywhere on anyone. Imagine the possibilities with this technique by your side. The power of conversational hypnosis does not require anything extraneous, only you and your mind. Easily slip in and out of conversations and gain that edge when opportunity presents itself to you.

A few months back, a friend of mine found himself unhappy at his current job. He had been working at this company since graduating from college but, never really flourished in his role and responsibilities. He and I often pondered what determines someone getting a promotion. It’s the way you present yourself, I told him. Perplexed, he continued to listen on. The key to success was nothing more than learning how to gain the advantage in everyday conversation.

That is the key to gaining the upper hand when looking to promote yourself or your situation in life. His life has changed dramatically since learning the art of conversational hypnosis and yours can too. Don’t resign yourself to a normal life when you know you have all this potential just waiting to be tapped into. Now, he’s one of these average Joe types that didn’t believe in things like hypnosis and other self improvement techniques. So, as expected, when I mentioned hypnosis as a way to improve his life he seemed perplexed and resistant. Eventually, I convinced him that he had nothing to lose except the right to tell me that I was wrong and I could live with that.

So, today, he invites me to meet up dinner and tells me about the promotion he recently got at work. We met up at some fancy restaurant and he told me that he had gotten the promotion that he had been wanting since he started at his company. The dinner was a thank you of sorts for introducing him to the power of conversational hypnosis.

It has changed his life tremendously and he can now share his fortune with his friends and family. The power of conversational hypnosis should never be confused with true mind control. Mind control is theoretically not possible since you are simply indirectly suggesting or influencing the person being hypnotized. If it compromises with their core values, for instance, it would be more difficult to make the suggestion work in your favor. This is not to say that it is not possible but, just more challenging.
